Protect yourself from fraud

Scammers target people who hire online, and businesses that list online. Here is what to watch for, what Vishnivo will never do, and what to do if something goes wrong.

What Vishnivo will and will not do

  • We never ask for your password, a one-time code, a PIN, a card number or remote access.
  • We do not take card payments. Invoices are paid by UPI or bank transfer in India, or by bank wire from abroad, to the details printed on the invoice.
  • Every genuine invoice appears in My account after you log in. Type the address yourself, do not follow a link in a message.
  • We do not sell trust scores, reviews, rankings or awards. A paid plan buys placement and tools only.
  • We do not guarantee rankings, leads or income, and we ask every business to avoid those promises too.

Scams to watch for

Fake invoices and renewal notices

Some businesses receive official-looking bills for a “directory listing” they never ordered. Before paying anything, check that you really registered, that the sender’s address matches the company you dealt with, and that the invoice appears in your own account. If in doubt, ask us at info@apensia.in before you pay.

Guaranteed ranking, reviews or awards

No one can guarantee first place on Google. Offers to “buy five-star reviews” or “unlock” an award break the rules of every serious directory and can get a business penalised. Walk away.

Large deposits and unusual payment methods

Be careful when an agency asks for most of the money upfront, or asks you to pay in gift cards, cryptocurrency or to a personal account that does not match the company name. Pay in stages tied to work delivered, and use a traceable method.

Impersonation on WhatsApp, email and social media

Scammers copy names and logos. Vishnivo staff will not message you from a personal number to ask for money. Our contact address is info@apensia.in, and our WhatsApp number is on the contact page.

Fake portfolios and fake testimonials

Ask for links to live work, speak to a past client, and check that the business has a verified registration and reviews that were approved by a directory. A Verified badge on Vishnivo means we checked an official registration document. It does not mean we vouch for every project.

Before you hire a business

  1. Check the trust score, the Verified badge and the approved reviews on their profile.
  2. Ask for a written scope, price, timeline and what you will own at the end, such as domains, accounts and files.
  3. Speak to at least one past client, and look at work you can open yourself.
  4. Start with a small first stage, then pay as each stage is delivered.
  5. Keep all your instructions and payments in writing, and pay a name that matches the company.
  6. Keep control of your own accounts. Add an agency as a user. Do not hand over your main password.

If you think you have been scammed

  1. Contact your bank or payment provider immediately and ask them to stop or reverse the payment.
  2. Stop replying. Keep screenshots, emails, receipts and phone numbers.
  3. Change passwords on any account you shared, and turn on two-step sign-in.
  4. Report it. In India, use the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in or call the helpline 1930. In the United States, report to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov and, for online crime, to the FBI’s ic3.gov. Elsewhere, contact your local police and consumer protection agency.
  5. Tell us if it involved a business on Vishnivo, so that we can look at the listing.

Common questions

Will Vishnivo ever ask for my password, OTP or card number?

No. Never. We do not take card payments, and no one from Vishnivo will ask for a password, a one-time code, a PIN or remote access to your computer or phone.

How do I know an invoice from Vishnivo is real?

Log in at vishnivo.com by typing the address yourself, then open My account. Every genuine invoice is listed there with its number and the payment details. If it is not there, do not pay it.

Can I pay to get a better trust score, more reviews or an award?

No, and no one at Vishnivo can sell you any of these. A paid plan buys placement and tools only. Anyone who says they can sell you reviews or an award from Vishnivo is not from us.

A company says it can guarantee me the first place on Google. Is that true?

No one can guarantee a Google ranking, not even Google’s own staff. Treat the promise as a warning sign and ask for examples, references and a written scope instead.

What should I do if I have already paid a scammer?

Call your bank or payment provider straight away, stop all contact, keep every message and receipt, change any passwords you shared, and report it to the authorities listed on this page.
